He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Agnes Osness, Melvin Osness, Netty (Pilgrim) and William Drake; his father Robert Osness Sr.; his brother David Osness; and his nephew Bentley James Bailly.
He is survived by: his wife Laurie Osness (Cleland); his children, Tanya Berninghaus (Chad Berninghaus) and Timmothy Osness (Mandee Meidinger); his grandchildren, Mackenzie Osness (Reff), Brady Berninghaus, Ryder Berninghaus, Nai, Meidinger, Lydia Osness and Derrick Johnson; his great grandchild Luna Rae; and his sisters, Melva Mestas, Shirley Osness (Donald Wagner), Peggy Osness (Russell Beadle) and Nancy Osness (Kent Chapin). He is also survived by wife, of 41 years and their grandchildren and new great granddaughter.
