He is survived by: his mother Kathryn Markovetz (Braun) of Ipswich, SD; his wife Cheryl (Holsing); his children, Brandon (Tonia) of Spearfish, SD, Michael (Stacey) of Olathe, KS, Heath (Christine) of Elizabeth, MN and Sarah Wambach (Jeremy) of Sioux Falls, SD.; his grandchildren, Tyler (Elizabeth), Sydney (Broc), Kaylee, Chase, Jason, Alex, Lauren, Megan, Aubrey, Andrew, Brayden, Ryanne, Owen and Talan; his great grandchild Charlie Jo; and his siblings, Don (Carol) of Kuna, ID, Deb Heitz (Warren) of Aberdeen, SD, Marge Heinz (Mel) of Aberdeen, SD, Shirley Graves of Aberdeen, SD and Kristie Williams (Scott) of Ipswich, SD..
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (20 6th St, Ipswich, SD 57451). A prayer was held on Sunday, April 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be donated to the "Right To Life" organization—one of many causes close to Jerry's heart.
