He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Fries and Charity Fries (Eide); his wife Shirley Fries; his son Todd Rose; and his siblings, Richard, Teddy, Tom, Dorothy, Ethel and Jane.
He is survived by: his adoptive daughter Summer; his children, Jon Rose (Mary) of Falcon, CO, Marvin Rose of Aberdeen, SD, Terence Fries of Aberdeen, SD, Brenda Joy (Dennis) of Aberdeen, SD, Tamra Peschong (Troy) of Milbank, SD, Tracy Loken (Jeromy) of Ipswich, SD and Summer Fries (Alan Himanga) of Frederick, SD; his sister Beverly (William); his grandchildren, Natasha Hinman (Ron), Andrea Riggins (Zane), Justin Rose (Tiffany Selinsky), Josh Rose, Sarah Rose (Tyler Schwartz), Deardra Hearnen (Lon), Brandon Peschong (Audrey), Presley Peschong (Connor Roberts), Jersey Peschong, Taylor Loken (Trenton Steger), Sydney Loken (Michael Kraft), Ashton Loken, Rasmus Loken, Bentley Knudsen and Henry Knudsen; and his great grandchildren, Levi, Dane, River, Piper, Rayna, Owen, Hayden and Emalyn.
