William E. McManus Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 14, 2023, at the age of 93, William E. McManus of Huron, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo McManus and Eleanor McManus (Morgan); his sisters, Donna Tyrell (William), Pat Lehecka (Jack) and Laverne Stone; his parents-in-law, Fred and Marjorie Steuerwald (Fancher); and his siblings-in-law, Donald Steuerwald (Norma Lee), Wilfred Steuerwald (Lou), Marion Pech (Ernest), Helen Allen (LaVern) and Janice Boe.
He is survived by: his wife Clarice Steuerwald; his children, Kathy Chase (Bill) of Huron, Terri McGillvrey (Allen) and Bob McManus (Julie) of Elkhart Lake, WI; his grandchildren, Christopher Hastings, Benjamin Chase (Marie), Joseph Chase (Erica), Patrick McGillvrey (Abby), Nichole Veches (Brandon), Nathan Chase (Andrea), Kelsey McManus (Logan Roy), Spencer Chase (Samantha Witte), Allyson Hougo (Luke) and Connor McManus; his brothers-in-law, Don Boe of Brookings, SD, Harold Stone of Rapid City, SD and Donald Rogers of Chico, CA; and his caregiver Bill. He is also survived by 18 Great Grand Children, and 1 Great, Great Grand Child; and many nieces and nephews.
In honor of Bill's service, the family asks that memorials be directed toward causes that support music, community service, and care giving.
