She is survived by: her children, Tonye Merkwan (Richard) of Early, IA, Michael Salter (Carol) of Scottsdale, AZ, Douglas Salter (Jeany) of Lake Poinsett, SD and Steven Salter (Ann) of Dyersville, IA; her grandchildren, Karie Merkwan (Jeremiah Squires), Jaci McCoy, Amanda Dirkx (Scott), Tara Salter LaFave, Eric Salter (Christy Welborn), Ryan Salter (Sara), Kacy Peterson (Phil), Tory Johnson (Matt), Jay Salter (Molly), Nick Axtman (Trang), Ellyse Ungs (Matt) and Elliot Salter (Olivia); her siblings, Janice Lentz of Huron, SD, Alice Ellis (David) of Houston, TX, Wayne Biever (Darlene) of Pine City, MN and Larry Biever (Helen) of Fredericksburg, VA; and her sister-in-law Kathleen Biever of Iroquois.
