It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Chase (Huron, South Dakota), who passed away on January 12, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Freeburg and Neva Freeburg (Lucke); her spouse Daryel "Dick" Chase; her siblings, Robert Freeburg, Veda and Doris Freeburg; and her siblings-in-law, Delbert Bottum, Gordon Churchill and Rita Hanson.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Bockorny (Larry) of Huron, William "Bill" Chase (Kathy) of Wolsey, Patricia "Patty" McGrane (Brian) of Plymouth, MN and Roger Chase (Michelle) of Huron; her grandchildren, Michael Bockorny (Kristi), Rebecca Eckhardt (Kirk), Benjamin Chase (Marie), Joseph Chase (Erica), Nathan Chase (Andrea), Spencer Chase, Adam McGrane (Becca), Karla Taylor (Chris), Chase McGrane (Annie Paul), Briana McGrane, Riley McGrane, Derek Chase (Tia), Lexy Foss (John) and Ryan Chase; her great grandchildren, Matthew Bockorny, Connor Bockorny, Emily Bockorny, Cassidy Eckhardt, Carson Eckhardt, Carter Eckhardt, Lestat Chase, Brooklyn Chase, Zaylee Chase, Avery Shumaker (Darrian Hood), Courtney Shumaker, Davis Chase, Josiah Chase, Micah Chase, Lydia Chase, Isaiah Chase, Brittan McGrane, Malia McGrane, Savanna McGrane, John Taylor, Grace Taylor and Holden Chase; her sisters, Ann Grieben (Don) and June Bottum; and her siblings-in-law, Craig Hanson (Adele), Blair Meyers, Marlis Freeburg, Marlene Churchill and Karolyn DeShazer (Gary). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
