He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy H. Swanson and Julia Swanson (Konshak); his siblings, Roy, Thomas, William and Mary Kuhns; his siblings-in-law, Ed Greschke, Betty Swanson and Helen Swanson; and his parents-in-law, Melvin A. and Pearl E. Hofer.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Lee Hofer of Martin's Catholic Church; his siblings, Margaret Greschke of Sioux Falls, Lyle Swanson (Janet) of Huron and James Swanson of Janesville, WI; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Swanson of Brandon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
