He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tiernan and Mary Tiernan (Duggan); and his siblings, John, Mary, Terry, Alice, Dottie, Kay and Patty.

He is survived by: his sister Rita Gross of Huron; and his cousins, Mary McKenna of Torrence, CA and Dennis Duggan of Denver, CO.
