We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2023, at the age of 84, Mary Dorris of Huron, South Dakota, born in Rochester, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Shetler and Mary Avo Shetler (Simmons); her husband Lowell Dorris Sr.; her siblings, Charles Hannebohn, Donald, Floyd, Lonnie, Harold Shetler, Judy Points, Flora May and Vicky Shetler; her sons-in-law, Ervin Scott and Paul Arneson; and her great grandchild Noah Paul Phipps.

She is survived by: her children, Terrie Scott of Woonsocket, Mary Bitterman (Randy) of Huron, Lowell Dorris, Jr. (Teresa) of Madison, Cheryl Arneson (Paul), Deborah Larson (Alan, Sr.) of Woonsocket and Sarah Dorris (Dennis) of Huron; her grandchildren, Tammy Kneen (Eric), Alan Larson, Jr., Scott Larson (Jill), Michael Dorris (Shanley), Dennis Long (Alison), Kasey Miller (Blake), Brandy Nelson (Carl), Kayla Wormstadt (Trevor), Jeremy Dorris (Kristen), Aftan Phipps (Nathan), Heath Larson, Kris Bitterman, Heather Eck (Chris), Steven Arneson (Trisha) and Justin Dorris (Leah); her siblings, Glenda Millington of Brooksdale, FL and Jerry Shetler of Brooksdale, FL; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Hannebohn of Kansas and Cora May Shetler of Missouri. She is also survived by 38 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
