She was predeceased by: her parents, George Newell and Bernice Newell (Bloodgood); her husband Curtis Schimke; her son Melvin Schimke; and her siblings, Harold Newell (Mavis), Evelyn Wiese (Clarence), Marie Delvoux (Charles), Joyce Walters (Mike), Alice Dilley (Fred), Maxine Padmore (Charles), Billy Newel and Loren Newell.
She is survived by: her children, Garry Schimke (LaVonne) of Sioux Falls, Sandra Dahme (Merle) of Sioux Falls and Judy Cummings of Huron; her granddaughters, Christi, Carrie and Lorraine; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Kailey, Thaddeus and John.
