It is with great sadness that we announce the death of June A. Gildemaster (Huron, South Dakota), who passed away on March 28, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of June A. Gildemaster to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Knouse and Lena Knouse (Adamson); her husband Max Gildemaster; her son Alan; her great grandchildren, Max Gildemaster and Levi McCombs; her son-in-law Randy Travis; and her siblings, Robert, Dean, Lyle Knouse and Carol.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Gildemaster (Judy) of Artesian, Larry Gildemaster (Carol) of Virgil and Debra Travis of Plattsmouth, NE; her brothers, Lloyd Knouse (Donna) of Huron and Gerald Knouse (Evie) of Covington, OK; and her sister-in-law Mary Jane Knouse of Huron. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and as a young mother made sure her children attended Sunday School every Sunday, giving them a solid foundation for life.
