With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine Hofer of Huron, South Dakota, who passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Josephine Hofer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul W. Gross and Anna Gross (Tschetter); her husband John J. Hofer; her children, Janine and Darrell; her great grandchild Dante Mercado; and her siblings, LeRoy Gross and Ruby Walter.
She is survived by: her children, Darwin (Becky), Brenda (Doug), Smith, Loren Hofer (Paula) of Hitchcock, SD, Joletta Heller (Craig) of Wolsey, SD, Carey Hofer of Rapid City, SD and Gena Timmerman (Gary) of Sioux Falls, SD; and her daughter-in-law Kathy Hofer of Huron, SD. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Josephine's name to Byron Bible Camp or the Child Evangelism Fellowship.
