He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Henkel and Marie Henkel; his brother Harold Henkel of Walter Henkel; his brothers-in-law, Martin Zapp and Bob Schlosser; his great grandchild Luverne Lemke; and his nephew Lenny Zapp.
He is survived by: his wife Gila; his daughters, Debbie Syhre (Rick) and Vickie Rounds (Roger); his grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson (Jeremy), Derek Syhre (Tori), Jesse Rounds (Caylen Groen), Holly Rounds and Dixie Pedersen (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Garrett Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Reese Lemke, Emma Lemke, Jack Pedersen, Ashtyn Pedersen and Max Pedersen; his sisters, Esther Pedersen (Cliff) and Elaine Schlosser; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Henkel and Vieva Henkel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
