He was predeceased by: his mother Marion Rounds (Engebos); his stepmother Erna Rounds; his parents-in-law, Toralf and Edna Bergerson; his children, Janet Rounds and Jabe Rounds; his grandchildren, Jabe Austin and Elizabeth Wilson; and his siblings, Alvin, Gordon, Wesley, Dale, Marion Jr., Don, Robert and Ella Mae Drake.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Bergerson; his children, Mary Rounds of Tulsa, OK, Mark Rounds of Huron, Dave Rounds of Midland, TX, Keith Rounds (Cathy) of Brookings, Kent Rounds (Nancy) of Glenwood, IA, Ann Salter (Steve) of Dyersville, IA, Jeff Rounds of Huron, Gerry Rounds (Barb) of Aurora, SD, Richard Rounds (Melissa) of Springfield, OR, Cathy Eide (Dave) of Watertown and Brad Rounds (Toni) of Huron; his grandchildren, Janie, Merrianne, Denise, James, Charles, Kaleb, Aleah, Ashley, Aerial, Jesse, Andrew, Hillary, Eric, Jason, Angee, Nick, Ellyse, Elliot, Nathan, Megan, Molly, Austin, Garret, Isaac, Sarah, Andrea, Mitchel, Benjamin, Jake, Abby, Emily, Luke, Calla, Maddy and Libby; his sister Marge Blue of Iroquois; and his sister-in-law Jeanette Mees (Neil) of Huron. He is also survived by 47 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Holy Trinity Catholic School in honor of Jim.
