He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Johnson and Mary Johnson (Johnson); his wife Alene Boyd; and his brothers, Delbert, Merle, Norman, Ronald and Charles.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Johnson (Marge) of Minneapolis and Mona Helseth (Kyle) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Lori Wormsbecher (Dale) of Avon, Jacki McCormick (Bill) of Edmond, Nathan Johnson of St. Louis Park and Casey Johnson (Lacy) of Golden Valley, Minnesota; and his siblings, Leo Johnson (Shirley) of Granbury, Texas, Jewel Eppendanz of Stickney and Roseline Wadleigh (David) of Mitchell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family requests memorials be directed to the First Baptist Church.
