He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Lanam and Mary Lanam (Barth); his son Scott Lanam; and his siblings, Shirley Lanam, Bev Vance, Dwayne, Kenneth and Ora Lanam.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Johnson of Huron; his children, Pam Speidel (Charles) of Tea, Kelly Lanam (Darci) of Rapid City and Sandy West (Reb) of Chamberlain; his grandchildren, Derek West (Allison) of Sioux Falls, Shay Lanam of Sioux Falls, Kelsie Lanam of Brookings, Tyler Lanam (Chris) of Maple Grove, MN and Michelle Moore (Josh) of Watertown; and his great grandchildren, Blakely and Briar West of Sioux Falls.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Gordon's name be made to the Beadle County Humane Society.
