He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake K. Gross and Barbara J. Gross (Stahl); his nephew Bradley Rosenberger; his granddaughter Callyann Wallenstein; his siblings, Dennis, Gene, Billy and Barbara Rosenberger; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Gross and Gene Rosenberger.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Manitz (Reed) of Sioux Falls; his children, Lori Wallenstein of Huron, Travis Gross (Teresa) of Cavour and Misty Fasching (Jeff) of Ft. Madison, Iowa.; his stepchildren, Janice Gillespie of Utah, Jon Manitz of South Dakota and Dan Manitz (Lori) of Wyoming; his grandchildren, Todd Wallenstein of Huron, Cody Gross of Huron, Amanda Barton (Jay) of Alpena, Natasha Arevalo (Sergio) of Florida, Jonathon Wardlow of Ft. Madison and Kerrington Wardlow of Ft. Madison; his stepgrandsons, Justin Manitz and Brody Manitz; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Gross, Lynette Gross of Huron and Denny Reed (Sandy) of Roundlake, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Welter Funeral Home (267 3rd St SE, Huron, SD 57350). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Huron Christian Church (777 21st St SE, Huron, SD 57350). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery (21453 SD-37, Huron, SD 57350).
