With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gila Henkel of Huron, South Dakota, who passed away on July 4, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Anderberg and Myrtle Anderberg; her sisters, Ila Mae Austin and Beverly Shoultz; her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Henkel, Vieva Henkel, Esther Pedersen, Harold Henkel, Walter Henkel, Martin Zapp and Bob Schlosser; and her great grandchild Luverne Rae Lemke.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Syhre (Rick) and Vickie Rounds (Roger); her grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson (Jeremy), Ryan Syhre (Ashley) of Ricky, Derek Syhre (Tori), Jesse Rounds (Caylen), Holly Rounds and Dixie Pedersen (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Garrett Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Reese Lemke, Ulises Ministro, Emma Lemke, Jack Pedersen, Ashtyn Pedersen, Max Pedersen, Jaxon Smythurst, Reagan Smythurst, Lincoln Smythurst, Parker Syhre and Maggie Syhre; her siblings-in-law, Cliff Pedersen and Elaine Schlosser; and her close friends, Joyce Price and Marv Claussen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
