He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Hedlund and Florence Hedlund (Talcott); his former wife Lila Alger; and his brother James Hedlund. He is survived by: his wife Carol Lassen; his children, Stephen of Gillette, WY, Jeffrey (Rebecca) of Veblen, SD and Becky Hedlund of Brookings; his stepchild Tonjua Gerber (Tim) of Newcastle, WY.; his sister Valerie (Thomas) of Winner, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley VanMeter of Rapid City, Doreen Bolander of Winner, Donna Schmidt of Miles City, MT and Merle Schmidt (Betty) of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
