He was predeceased by: his wife Burnetta "Bunny" Ellen Lien (Pierce) of Minnesota; his parents, Erwin Thomas Lien and Edna Henrietta Lien (Kornmann); his sister Mary Glenda Lien of South Dakota; and his brother-in-law John Becker.
He is survived by: his children, Hallie Michealson (Rich) and Eric Lien; and his grandchildren, Richie, Mathew and Damien. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
