It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elvina P. Hofer of Huron, South Dakota, who passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Kleinsasser and Suzanne Kleinsasser (Waldner); her husband Johnnie Hofer; her son Donald Hofer; her daughter-in-law Diana Hofer; her grandson Jay Ryan Hofer; her great grandchild Alexis White; her siblings, Edwin Kleinsasser (Ruby), Clarence Kleinsasser (Hannah), Ted Kleinsasser (Violet), Paul Kleinsasser and Ann McCoy (Richard); and her parents-in-law, Jacob Hofer (Rosie), Eli Hofer (Ruth), Martin Hofer (Veanna), David Hofer (Gladys), Richard Hofer, Sam Hofer (Ruth) and Mary Tschetter (Jacob).
She is survived by: her brothers, Ronald, Donald Dennis (late Donald) and Reginald; her sons, Ronald of Moore, Dennis (Janet) and Reginald (Julie); her brother Everett Kleinsasser (Ramona); and her sister-in-law Bernice Kleinsasser. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid concerns, Elvina's family has decided on a private graveside service; and have cancelled her funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Samaritan's Purse.
