Ellen Hollister Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Hollister of Huron, South Dakota, born in Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Figland and Lesta Figland (Cundy); her husband Darrell Hollister; her grandson Matthew Hollister; and her brother Forrest Figland.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary (Charolene) of Alpharetta, GA, Tim (June) of Orcutt, CA, Ken (Janet) of Aberdeen and Scott (Thuan) of Greeley, CO; and her sister-in-law Leola Figland of Mitchell. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to First Congregational Church and Beadle County Humane Society.
