She was predeceased by: her parents, Vila Joseph and Cecile Irene Gates (Johnson); her son Sloan; her brothers, Vern Gates and Clinton Gates; her half-brother Everett Gates; and her brother-in-law Ike Rans.
She is survived by: her children, Vanya Munce (Mark Harrington) of Huron and Russ Forrest (Cecille) of Huron; her grandchildren, Darin Munce, Nathan Munce, Emily Forrest and Jackson Forrest; her stepgrandchildren, Jason Goldammer (Molly) and Chantel Halperin (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Alydiah, Buckley, Trigger, Kylie, Dirk, Payton and Presley; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Cashton, Axton and Skylar; and her siblings, Irene Rans, Keith Gates, James Gates (Maureen), John Gates (Sharon), Kevin Gates (Collen), Michael Gates, Loretta Laabs (Dan) and Brent Gates (Gina). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
