Dale Cundy Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dale Cundy of Huron, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Cundy and Wanda Cundy (Plummer); his former wife Alice; and his siblings, Deloyce Cundy (Frances), Donald Cundy (Florence), Gene Cox, Gale Sawvell and Melvin Ingemansen.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Cundy (Linda) and Marie Lohsandt (Cundy); his grandchildren, Robbie Cundy (Emily) of Sioux Center, IA, Michelle Gray (Matt) of Glen Morris, Ontario, April Cundy of Sioux Falls, SD and Austin Lohsandt of Huntsville, AL; his great grandchildren, Drew, Grant, Claire Cundy of Sioux Center, IA, Eloise, Silas, Roslyn, Kinslie Gray of Glen Morris and Ontario; his siblings, Darlene Cox of Miller, SD, Duane'Eddie' Cundy (Deb) of Mitchell, SD, Diane Sawvell of Pomona, CA, Dorothy Ingemansen of Aberdeen, SD, Dennis Cundy (Mary) of Sioux Falls, SD and Darwin Cundy (Sandy) of Iroquois, SD; and his close friend Karen Mueller of Huron, SD.. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Welter Funeral Home (267 3rd St SE, Huron, SD 57350). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Graceland Cemetery. He retired from his handyman business at age 86 when the COVID pandemic hit.
