He is survived by: his mother Cheryl Koester (Phillips) of Huron; his son Tyson of Huron; his father-in-law Don Schmidt; his siblings, Albert Koester (Jill) of Williamsburg and Michele Koester (Ronnie Lee) of Sisseton; and his former wife Stacie Koester of Huron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
