He is survived by: his mother Cheryl Koester (Phillips) of Huron; his son Tyson of Huron; his father-in-law Don Schmidt; his siblings, Albert Koester (Jill) of Williamsburg and Michele Koester (Ronnie Lee) of Sisseton; and his former wife Stacie Koester of Huron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Welter Funeral Home (267 3rd St SE, Huron, SD 57350). A prayer was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Living Hope Alliance Church (1779 Frank Ave SE, Huron, SD 57350). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery (21453 SD-37, Huron, SD 57350).
