With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Beverly L. Kempf of Huron, South Dakota, born in Carthage, South Dakota, who passed away on December 12, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Tompkins and Mable Tompkins (McClain); her former husband Paul Kempf; her children, Alice and James Kempf; her grandchildren, Terri Kempf and Joshua Gross; and her brothers, Irvin Tompkins and Marvin Tompkins.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Kempf (Kathy) of Huron, Ken Kempf (Nancy) of Huron, Kathe Kempf (Keith) of Las Vegas, NV, Jean Gross (Jared) of Sioux Falls, Curt Kempf (Suzanne) of Huron, Barb Glanzer (Mark) of Aberdeen, Sue Paye (Mike) of Aberdeen, Patricia Steiner (Adam) of Overland Park, KS and Jeff Kempf (Amy) of Huron; and her siblings, Rodney Tompkins (Carol) of Huron, Linda Zavitz of Green Valley, AZ and Charlotte Leonard (Dan) of Shawnee, Kansas.. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
The family will direct any memorials in Beverly's name to local schools and programs that provide art classes for children or you may make a donation to a charity of your choice.
