He was predeceased by: his father James P. Schwieder; his grandmother Mary Ellen Glantz; and his uncle Butch "George" Thein. He is survived by: his mother Karen Schwieder (Thein) of Aurora, Colorado; his wife Kathleen Fowler; his sons, Tristyn and Rylen Schwieder; the mother of his children Kathleen Schwieder of Huron; his brother Drew; and also Chaz Schwieder.
