It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Jensen of Hurley, South Dakota, born in Viborg, South Dakota, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Christian Jorgensen and Marie Jorgensen (Lauritzen); her husbands, Gernhart Nielsen and Howard Jensen; her daughter Susan Fundak; her grandson Brian Nielsen; and her siblings, Donald, Leon, Ann Loo, Robert and Waldo.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne (Barbara) of Sioux Falls, Dan (Marica) of Hurley, Mark (Julie) of Yankton, Tim of Littleton, CO. and Beth Breen of Yankton; and her brother Kenneth Jorgensen (Belva) of Viborg. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethany Lutheran Church or Aseracare.
