He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Mildred Plendl (Bradley) and Harry "Bud" Plendl; his siblings, David Plendl, Kenny Plendl and LuEllen Woodley; his siblings-in-law, Jens Sorensen, Evan Ball, Donnie Trout, Marge Plendl, MaryAnn Plendl, Cynthia Plendl and Cinda Plendl; and his parents-in-law, Cornie and Ruth Jansen.
He is survived by: his close friend Linda Jansen of Hudson; his granddaughter Nora Nielsen; his siblings, Dorothy Sorensen, Paula Ball, Mary Trout and Joe Plendl; his siblings-in-law, Judy Lewis (Tom), Connie Richters (Ryan), Terry Woodley, Ron Jansen (Jody) and Galen Jansen (Debbie); and also, Wade Jansen (Jill Swets) of Sioux Falls and Andrea Jansen (Chris Nielsen) of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
