He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fitzgerald and Theressa Fitzgerald (Gandrau); his son Reno; and his siblings, Edmund, Mary, Leo, Delilah, Lucille, Helen, Violet, Millie, Marcella and Marjorie.
He is survived by: his children, John of Beresford, Dallas (Robin) of Akron and Pam; his wife Rose Marie (Ringling); his children, Michael (Shari) of Lehi, Pamela (Brian) of Hudson and Fallon of Hudson; his siblings, Gerald Fitzgerald (Geraldine) and Veronica Muller of Beresford; and his siblings-in-law, Rich Ringling (Mary) and Lori Scholl (Mike) of Platte, SD. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Midwest Honor Flight or the Centerville Care & Rehab Center.
