He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emma Ekanger and Andrew Ekanger; his wife Joyce Olson; his children, Daniel, David and Linda Stephens (Brad); his grandchildren, Luke and Lauren; and his brother Ernest Ekanger. He was also cherished by many nephews and nieces.

He was a dear friend linked with the same high school and college and most recently with the adventurous movie group. He was the person we went to when there was counseling needs in the church.
