It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maynard W. Hahn of Howard, South Dakota, born in Madison, South Dakota, who passed away on October 5, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mothers, Wilhelmina Hahn (Voeltz) and Minnie; his in-laws, Ruford and Hazel Dechow; his sisters, Marlys and Marjorie; and his brothers-in-law, James Mlady, Larry Dencker, Don Dechow and Joe Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mae Dechow; his children, Karna Forthman (Jerry Engstrom) of Waubay, SD, Crystal Bohle (Dallas) of Aberdeen, SD, Marcia Miller (Dave) of Howard and Raymond Hahn (Lyn) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his sisters-in-law, Joy Dechow and Nancy Roberts. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
