It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mads O. Andenas of Howard, South Dakota, born in Lake Preston, South Dakota, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigurd Andenas and Rigmor Andenas (Irgens); and his mother-in-law Myrna Moore. He is survived by: his wife Chloe Moore; his daughter Kirsten (Reggie Aligada); his granddaughters, Ruby and Zadie; his siblings, Norman (Cecelia Wittmayer), Ingrid Chamales (Gus) and Signe Bobbitt (Bruce); his father-in-law Howard Moore; and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Schmit (Roger), Jerry Moore (Pam) and Roger Moore (Judy). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and godchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (43496 233rd St, Howard, SD 57349). A prayer was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Miner Co. Historical Society or Belleview Lutheran Cemetery.
