Loren Scott Obituary
We bid farewell to Loren Scott (Howard, South Dakota), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 16, 2025 at the age of 92. Loren touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Scott and Alma Scott (Anderson); his son Charles Scott (Robin Wolff); his son-in-law Donn A. Clendenon; his siblings, Ken, Stanley, Roger and Audrey Iseminger (Kenneth); and his brother-in-law Lester "Red" Kaiser.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his children, Gregory Scott, Julie Scott, Anne Clendenon (John Weverka), Daniel Scott (Suzi), Timothy Scott (Darla), Steven Scott (Kari), Maria Jeremiason (Jeff) and Kristen Johnston (Rob); and his siblings, Gary Scott (Gloria) of Sioux Falls and Dorothy Kaiser of Hot Springs, SD.. He is also survived by 20 loving grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Howard High School (500 N Co Hwy 42, Howard, SD 57349). A prayer was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Graceland Cemetery's Section.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a charitable contribution to: Loren A. Scott Community Impact Fund; all contributions will honor and support causes aligned with Loren's values and community needs.
