With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Victor E. Kienitz of Hot Springs, South Dakota, born in Smithwick, South Dakota, who passed away on August 21, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kienitz and Phyllis Buoey Kienitz; his sisters, Janice Ziller and Elaine M. Roll; and his close friend Marcella Sunding.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jean Cope Kraft of Rapid City, SD, Ted Kienitz (Mary) of Chadron, NE and Delores Grillo (Dennis) of Las Vegas, NV; his children, Victor E. Kienitz, Jr. of Rapid City, SD, Vonda Kienitz (Dale) of Rapid City, SD, Valerie Kienitz (Timothy Heisler) of Wellsville, NY and Valieta Connolly (Duane) of Hannah, WY; and the mother of his children Velda Phillips of Casper, WY. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and innumerable cousins, nieces and nephews.
