She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Ruther; her parents, Marinus Morse and Ethel Morse; and her sister Connie May. She is survived by: her sons, Franklin Ruther of Hot Springs, SD and Timothy Ruther of Marysville, WA; her daughter-in-law Dena Ruther; her daughter Shirle McClain of Peoria, AZ; her son-in-law Bill McClain; her nephews, Greg Ruther, Chuck Ruther and Marinus May; and her niece Geraldean Walker.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home (401 N Garden St, Hot Springs, SD 57747). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Joy Community Fellowship Church, 309 Canton Ave, Hot Springs, SD 57747.
