He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludvigs Hofmanis and Vilma Hofmanis; his father-in-law Eugene Paull; and his cousin Andy Riteris. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kay Hoffman of Hot Springs, SD; his mother-in-law Alice Paull of Rapid City, SD; his sister Ilse Hoffman (John Riley) of Denver, CO; his brother-in-law Richard Paull (Dianne) of Piedmont, SD; his cousin Mara Riteris (late Andy); his children, John T. Hoffman (Teresa), Sandra Hoffman (Marlin Ellington), Suzanne Vogel (Lawrence) of Aberdeen, SD, Catherine Leiferman (Monte) of Chamberlain, SD, Kimberly Albertson (Michael) of Rapid City, SD and Scott Hoffman (Danita) of Aberdeen, SD.; his grandchildren, LaShana Leiferman Muller, Kaleb Farley, Katie Vogel Blocker, Skyler Leiferman, Kara Farley, Ashton Hoffman, Abigail Vogel, Megan Albertson Carreiro, Kylee Hoffman, Layton Hoffman and Jason Albertson; his great grandchildren, Caroline, Savannah Muller, Aidan Haas and Skaists Hollar; his great-niece Violet Paull; and also, Gene and Alice Paull. He is also survived by his children and valued by friends.
