He is survived by: his close friend Ernestine Dowty; his children, Earl David Dowty of Springfield, SD, Timothy Scanlon of New Jersey, Duane Bales of Colorado Springs, CO and Susie Dowty of Hot Springs; his close friends, Jerry Briggs, Bill and Mary Cummings; and his granddaughters, Thelma Clifford and Destiny Clifford of Pine Ridge, SD. He is also survived by 5 grandkids; 14 great grandkids, 7 nephews and 1 niece.
