Arnold L. Monroe Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arnold L. Monroe of Hot Springs, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Arnold departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Arnold may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Arnold leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Velva Ackley-Moody and Jim Moody; his wife Lula Monroe; and his brother Jim Moody. He is survived by: his sons, Alan Monroe of Hot Springs, SD and Tony Monroe (Heather) of Hot Springs, SD; his grandchildren, Ashley Monroe-Stonberger (Cory) of Vassar, KS, Sierra Goodsell of Hot Springs, SD, Chad Kelso of Rapid City, SD and Blaine Goodsell; and his great grandchild Carson Stoneberger of Vassar, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (538 University Ave, Hot Springs, SD 57747).
