He is survived by: his parents, Rose Haerter (Stoecker) and Arthur J. Haerter; his spouse Doris Gruenewald; his children, Debra Schaub (Robert) of Chamberlain, SD, Bruce Haerter (Joyce) of Hosmer and Denise Abild (Rich) of Sioux Falls; his brother Plin of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren, Nicholas Schaub (Aaryn), Alicia Weister (Michael), Michael Schaub, Alexis Brower (Jeremy), Joe Haerter (Elli), Kayla Wells (Brandon) and Evan Abild; and his great grandchildren, Nic, Kenna, Maguire, Miles, Theodore, Henry, Avery, Sirenna and Keanu. He is also survived by his father on January 31, 1981 and his mother.
