He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Schumacher; his grandparents, Katherina Schumacher (Eckmann), John and Rosina Neifer (Hieb); his brother-in-law Charles Harty; and his aunt Leontina Schumacher.
He is survived by: his mother Ruth Schumacher (Neifer); his wife Bonnie Harty (Bunny); his children, Darren Schumacher (Amy) and Dawn Malsam (Brian); and his grandchildren, Sydnee, Declan, Paxton, Liam, Rory and Cormac. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
