With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Darwin Walter of Hitchcock, South Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Darwin left this world on December 11, 2024 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Walter and Lena Ruby Walter Hoelzel (Tschetter); his stepfather Carl Hoelzel; and his brother Ronald. He is survived by: his brother Lynn (Alice); his nephew William "Bill" Walter (Marsha); his niece Tasma "Taz" Paye-Wilke (Patrick); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Abigail "Abi" Walter, Alison Wilke, Caleigh Wilke, Gustaf "Gus" Walter, Bradley Wilke, Luca Herzog and Bailey.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Methodist Church of Hitchcock (39060 SD-28, Hitchcock, SD 57348). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
