It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Gene Jirsa of Highmore, South Dakota, born in Aurora, South Dakota, who passed away on July 19, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Howard and Mary Howard (Alt); her son James; her husband Roland; and her siblings, Frank, Stub, Robert, John, Billy, Teddy, Junior, Carol, Lora, Ruth and LaVee.

She is survived by: her children, Randall (Linda) and Nikk; and her sister Fara Fay Day. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
