He was predeceased by: his parents, John Atkinson and Josephine Atkinson (Lovelace); his children, Sarah Lynn, Bryan Atkinson and Jeff Atkinson (Woody); his mother-in-law Mildred Corley; and his brothers, Basil, Johnny and Bill Atkinson.
He is survived by: his wife Jacque Corley; his daughters, Martha Patzlaff (Jeff) and Suzanne Husted (Dwight); his daughter-in-law Josie Atkinson; his grandchildren, Jessica Portell Atkinson, Abby Atkinson (Caleb Maftei), John Patzlaff, Amber Patzlaff, Ben Patzlaff (Sydney Kolb), Zeb Husted (Abby), Tate Husted, Jett Husted and Rachel Husted; his great grandchildren, Angelina, Nico, Ava Portell and Iris Mae Husted; his great great grandchild Dakota; and his sister-in-law Nita Atkinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
