He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gayheart and Dollie Mae Matre (Hapney); and his siblings, Glen, Raymond Matre and Marie Matre.
He is survived by: his wife Delores of Highmore; his daughters, Teri Matre-Kirchner (Mike) of Highmore and Susan Pautsch (Mark) of Kalispell, MT; his granddaughters, Kimberly Borge (Brandon) of Pierre and Debra Hight (Joe Schuring) of Dell Rapids; his great grandchildren, Mikayla Hight of Dell Rapids, Chase Hight of Dell Rapids and Krew Schuring of Dell Rapids; his sister Fern Droz (Charles) of Miller; and his brother-in-law Charles Droz of Miller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
