It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delbert Frederick Rueb of Herreid, South Dakota, who passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Rueb and Lydia Rueb (Biel); his wife Lydia Kerher; his children, Patricia, Randall and Dean; his grandson Josiah Rueb; his sister Maureen; and his siblings-in-law, LeRoy Johnson, Edna, Frank Maxiner, Eugene Hehn, Jake Kerher, Irvin Kerher, Martha Kerher and Tom Streifel.
He is survived by: his children, Norma of Java, Dale (Colleen) of Herreid, Mary Goodale (Dwayne) of Grovespring, MO, Rollin (Charlotte) of Herreid and Paul (Bonnie) of Selby; his great grandchild Shannon Rueb (David Poe); his grandchildren, Dustin Rueb (Haley), Raelle, Sariyah, Myah, Debbie Wherry (Brian), Kobe, Jared, Keiara, Jesse Rueb (Mindi), Rachel, Eric, Tabitha Goodale, Elianna, Joshua Goodale (Krystahl), Jayden Flanigan, Lily, Eden, Owen, James Rueb, Timothy Rueb, Steven Rueb (Katelynn), Easton, Miles, Elliana and Kari Rueb; and his sister-in-law Donna Streifel.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Herreid Assembly of God Church. A prayer was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
