He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Schmidt and Amelia Schmidt (Schoeck); his spouse Coralie (Cora Fischer); and his siblings, Jake, Alvin, Arthur, Hilda Davis, Edna Langeliers, Alma Ryckman, Norma Zalewski, Lucille Hirning and Annetta Fetterley.
He is survived by: his sisters, Alice Spadie of Las Vegas and Phyllis Fjeldheim of Pollock. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
