It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Leroy Hammer of Hermosa, South Dakota, born in Hot Springs, South Dakota, who passed away on August 7, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Joe, Irene Hammer, Don Larson and Myra Larson; his parents-in-law, Claire and Florence Ellerton; his uncle Bood; and his brother-in-law Curtis Jensen.
He is survived by: his parents, Marvin Hammer and Donna Hammer (Larson); his son Justin Claire (Katie); his wife Karen Hammer (Ellerton); his daughter Amber Hageman; his grandchildren, Kaiden, Haven Hageman, Nolan and Brooke Hammer; his siblings, Debra Jensen, Robert Hammer (Gloria) and Jeannette Pacheco (Ernest); his parents-in-law, Pam Lipp (Gary) and Terry Ellerton (Vera); and his nieces and nephews, Belinda Brown, Amy McVeigh, Amanda Lustig, Ryan Pacheco, Aaron Hammer, Travis Lipp, Casey Ellerton, Brian Ellerton and Andy Lipp. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
