He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Spring and Beatha Spring (Kost); his sister Carol; his brother-in-law Don Hoover; his siblings, Theodore "Ted" Spring and Hazel Jensen (Frank); his niece-in-law Robbin Spring; and his nephew-in-law David Cook.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Kathryn Spring of Union Center, SD; his nieces and nephews, Charles Spring (Claireen) of Union Center, SD, Shirley Baker (Gary) of Enning, SD, Glen Spring of Union Center, SD, Susan Delbridge (Norman) of Faith, SD, Janice Nelsen (Paul) of Faribault, MN, Harry Hoover (Joan) of Sandy, UT, Ruth Cook of Charlotte, NC, Mary Hendrick (Roger) of Opp, AL, Rebecca Ashbridge (Stephen) of Blythewood, SC, Barbara Jensen of Nisland, SD and Andrew Jensen of Vale, SD; and his close friends, Jodi and Richard Dusenbury of Hermosa, SD. He is also survived by cousins, and many great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Foundation of the Blind, and the Highland Park Cemetery fund.
