“I am in shock to hear of Al’s passing. We served together as young Marine second lieutenants in Battery D, 2nd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment at Camp Lejeune back in the early 80s. I ran into him again in Italy while deployed. At that time he was with 2nd Anglico and I was with the Marine Detachment aboard USS America. We recently reconnected on Facebook on a Marine artillery FB page. We shared lots of memories. Fair winds and following seas. Semper fidelis, Marine!”
